MEET
My name is Jenny Richardson Fore, and I am running for Juvenile Judge in the 21st Judicial District Court. I want to introduce myself and tell you a little bit about my background, and why I am running for the position of Juvenile Judge. I am married to Colt Fore and we have two beautiful children, Cecile and Cassius. We live in Denham Springs, where we are active participants and supporters of our community that we call home. I stand firm on my conservative beliefs, and am a member of the Livingston Parish Republican Women and the Liberty Belles. I am a 2010 graduate of Louisiana State University, where I obtained a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minor in political science. During my time at LSU, I was a student athlete; a cheerleader for the Tigers. After I received my undergraduate degree, I graduated magna cum laude from Southern University Law Center in 2013.
When I finished law school, I went to work for the Honorable Blair D. Edwards as her law clerk for a year and a half. This is where my passion grew for the children and families in juvenile court. I knew God put me in this court for a reason, and I wanted to do everything I could to stay in juvenile court. Thankfully, a job opened at the Public Defender’s Office, and I have been able to represent children in juvenile court for the last 10 years. I am also very involved in our juvenile drug court. I work closely with the Judge, Assistant District Attorney, case manager, probation office, school system, the juvenile, and their families to do everything we can to make sure they have a successful future. I have handled thousands of cases in juvenile court; my invaluable experience truly qualifies me for this seat.
I know first-hand the importance of maintaining a court system that protects our children and works to provide families with the guidance and resources they need to have healthy, safe homes. I will continue to lead our juvenile court with the personal care and attention our children need, and with unwavering toughness against those who would neglect and harm our most vulnerable citizens. I understand what it takes to combat the rise of juvenile crime from a legal standpoint. As your Juvenile Judge, I will bring knowledge and passion to the courtroom. I will continue to use my experience and understanding of juveniles in the 21st JDC system to work to lower crime among juveniles, while upholding the law to its fullest extent.
